Dear Parents and Carers      

       Welcome to week 3 of 8

This week in school...

  • Phonics screening is taking place for children in Year 1 this week
  • On Monday some Y6 children are visiting LWA as part of their transition preparations and we welcome Parents/Carers to join in with learning in Years 4 and 5 and stay for lunch
  • On Tuesday children in Year 2 are taking part in a Skipping Festival - enjoy and good luck everyone - and we welcome Parents/Carers in to Year 1 to share in the learning and stay for lunch
  • On Wednesday children in Foundation Stage are out on a visit to Tropical World and children in Year 2 are visiting Kirkstall Abbey
  • Friday is a Training Day

  • Tuesday 25th - Bramley Olympics - KS1 and KS2 representatives - details to follow
  • Wednesday 26th June Year 6 visit to Kirkstall Abbey and FS2 New parents/carers meeting from 3:30pm
  • Thursday 27th June Summer Fair - details to follow
  • Friday 28th June Year 2 Good Learning Assembly - family and friends most welcome from 9:10am
  • Wednesday 17th July Year 6 end of year evening production
  • Friday 19th July Year 6 evening Prom 
  • Tuesday 23rd July Year 6 Leavers Assembly from 9:10am

The National School Breakfast Programme
Our school has joined the Government's National School Breakfast Programme, which is being delivered by the charities Family Action and Magic Breakfast. As an NSBP school, we are pleased to offer a healthy school breakfast, available to all, and enjoy the benefits that brings, with children settled and ready to learn at the start of the school day.
Lego WOW Day with Y4
On Monday, 17th June, parents and carers joined Y4 for a morning of learning and fun with Lego. Some fantastic fairground rides resulted! Check out Y4's webpage for more pictures of a great day.
 
Leeds Civic Hall
Children from Y5 represented Summerfield in the the final of the Leeds Primary Schools Debating Competition.
Attendance
w/e Friday 26th April 2019
Y4 were table toppers in the week following the Spring break, with an impressive 99.17%. Whole school attendance for the year so far has remained static, standing at 94.22%.
