Welcome to our Year 4 Home Learning page

We hope you find this useful in supporting you and your child with their learning. On our school website, Facebook page and through Twitter we have already shared many websites, that are freely available, to engage children with a range of enjoyable activities linked to their learning.

Thank you for your messages via Class Dojo. It’s lovely to hear from you and to see pictures of all you have been doing. Please contact us through Class Dojo with any questions you may have or just to share with us your learning and the activities you have completed.

Please stay safe and keep well.

The link below is for English writing. Along with the video clip there are a variety of activities for the children to enjoy.

They also have their spelling lists to practise. Please read daily with your child if possible and they may also enjoy listening to a range of audible books.

Below is a link to short reading activities with questions for the children to answer.

Children can continue to practise their times tables using Times Tables Rock Stars as well as completing activities that will be set on Mathletics.

Our next unit in maths would have been decimals.

Twinkl has resources linked to fractions and decimals if your child would like to look at these.

Twinkl are also providing a daily timetable for children with a variety of activities and links.

In science we were looking at teeth. The following link has a presentation the children could watch and an experiment they could set up to look at tooth decay!

It is lesson 4 in the pack.

Below is link about Salvador Dali with art activities the children could complete.

In Geography we were comparing the UK with Spain. Twinkl have a booklet you can download and research to complete in relation to this topic.

In Spanish the children were learning about the family.

There are many games for children to play too.

In RE the children were learning about the Five Pillars of Islam

They may enjoy completing their research about the Five Pillars and their meanings.

There is no expectation that your child will complete all these activities. They are there as a guide to show parents/carers some of the activities we would have covered this half term.

Thank you for your continued support.
