Welcome to the Year 5 Remote Learning Page
Thursday 4th March is WORLD BOOK DAY! If you would like to dress up as a favourite character for your live lesson you can but this is optional. Scroll down to Thursday to see the different activities that will be happening on that day.
This week is also Well-Being Week. We will be having an extra special live lesson on Tuesday to celebrate this.

BBC Bitesize - Performing a poem.
English
What is a promise?
Write down 2 examples of promises you have made.
Task: write at least 3 promises you would want people to make to improve the world using pronouns + modals to support speculation. Give reasons to support your ideas. You might want to think about issues to do with the environment, war/pace, worldwide issues, community issues, animals and/or their habitats etc.
I could.. We might… We must… They should… because...
Spellings
Practise using strategies learned at school e.g. pyramid, drawing pictures connected with the word, drawing around the word, missing vowels.

Kennings- have a go at performing these poems. Remember the skills you learned yesterday.
Then choose your own animal and write a poem in the same style.

If you didn't design a book cover for yesterday's reading activity, please do this today as well as your other activities
Ask someone to take a picture of you reading in an unusual place! We are doing this as a whole school, so please send your pictures in.
